Hailing from yet another [semi-obscure/underrated] 80s manganime franchise by the combined efforts of Toshihiro Hirano & various other artists, this totally tubular duo should at least ring a bell or 2 (or so one might hope), not to mention the dark, ominous and edgy atmosphere and plotline it embodies!
Subject A* An ordinary, 'emo-as-hell' schoolgirl who's uncontrollably and thoughtlessly dragged into the never-ending Earth invasion involving the sinister forces of an extraterrestrial race known as the Cthulhu [and Subject B whom she encounters, and I'll get to in a bit]. During class and at home, she brutally endures all sorts of hallucinations far beyond her wildest imagination, cooked up by none other than the aforementioned Cthulhu and their deadly Vedim parasites....not only were they applied on most of the classmates on the roof, but to her parents as well [leading to a sudden assault and 2 unexpected deaths, for whom she blames Subject B]. Seriously, how does such an innocent yet sensitive human being express her true, inner feelings after all that chaotic BS? By incorporating them into her new partner's indestructible mechanic suit [which I'll also get to momentarily] and turbo-charging its overall strength and ability to exterminate the bloodthirsty, psychotic invading forces hell-bent on eradicating all humankind!
Subject B* The main heroine of the saga, a powerful android (seriously, even #18 and Data don't have SHIT on her) created by the Cthulhu as their sworn guardian & future leader; jettisoned straight onto Earth by what else but its infamous takeover by an bizarre entity known as Big Gold? Now, as mentioned before - her main intent is to not only once and for all wipe the Cthulhu out, but to further develop her newfound human partner's (aka the aforementioned Subject A) friendship as well as her sworn, innermost objective to do so, via - get ready for this - the ICZER-ROBO! Aside from the ever-so-reliable giant mech, this voluptuous android's inner abilities range from harnessing a light saber, time travel, exceptionally advanced human agility and the like.
